Younes Bachir, born in Tangier and based in Barcelona, is an Actor and Stage Director with more than 25 years of experience in Large-Scale Shows, Physical theatre, Opera, Video art and Cinema.

Younes studied at the Superior Theatre Conservatory in Brussel and In 1994 he obtained the ‘Premier Prix in Dramatic Art’

Since 1995 till 2020, he has worked as an actor, codirector, director of actors and coauthor in many large-scale shows around the world, with the famous theater company La Fura dels Baus.

From 2003 till 2009 he directed wtih the acclaimed Catalan opera director Carlus Padrissa, the more ambitious project of the company, the ship Theatre Naumon.

As a director, Younes has created various shows in Australia, Europe and the Middle East.

In the field of cinema, he has starred in more than 30 films and series recognized and awarder by the Spanish Film Academy..

As a mentor, In 2008 Younes created Andante Workshop and has taught masterclasses and workshops at institutions such as FAI-AR in Marseille, Danza Retazo in La Habana, Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and La Trobe University in Melbourne.

Omar Martinez.

In 2013 ARPA|AMCOS recognised Confined Chamber Opera, as a 'Work of Excellence in a Regional Area', at the National ArtMusic Awards, Australia

In 2023 Younes has been nominated in the category of Art & Culture at the ' The Trophies of the Moroccans of the world 2023 ́.
